Elections

With the help of Washington County, city staff administers all elections for the residents of Bayport. The city has one ward and precinct, which means all residents vote at the same polling location.

Polling Location

Beginning in 2020, the new polling location will be the Bayport Fire Department, 1012 5th Avenue N. The polls will be open from 7 am to 8 pm for voting on election days. The Statewide Primary Election will be held on August 11 and the Statewide General Election will be held on November 3, 2020.

Absentee Ballot

Due to COVID, voters are encouraged to consider absentee voting for the upcoming elections. To request an absentee ballot by mail, a voter must complete the absentee ballot application form found on the Minnesota Secretary of State's website.

New Residents or Address Change

If you have recently moved to Bayport or to a new address in the city, please be advised that you will need to complete and submit the Voter Registration Application (PDF) to vote in upcoming elections.
