St. Croix Conservation Project

Project OverviewSt Croix Conservation Project Trees

In 2019, the city acquired 11 acres on the St. Croix River to conserve and create a public park. Funding sources to facilitate the land purchase were secured through Washington County Clean Water, Land and Legacy funds, two Department of Natural Resources grants, and a generous donation from Andersen Corporation.

Planning efforts for this exciting project are anticipated to continue through 2022. Watch for updates to be featured in upcoming editions of the city's print newsletter Bayport News and e-newsletter Bayport Brief. Citizens are also encouraged to sign up to receive city email notices on news, activities, services, and projects via the Notify Me section of the website.
