The City of Bayport and Rainbow Treecare have partnered to provide a discounted residential rate for the treatment of private ash trees within the City of Bayport. More information can be found at the following Rainbow Treecare link: https://www.rainbowtreecare.com/emerald-ash-borer/city-partnerships/bayport/.
The City of Bayport will be utilizing Rainbow Treecare to treat 30 boulevard trees and 31 parks/cemetery trees during the Fall of 2021. Given the mortality rate for trees infected with Emerald Ash Borer, the city is encouraging residents to consider either treating private ash trees or having them removed. Treated trees can live a long healthy life but must be retreated every 2-3 years. Continual treatment is the only effective method of controlling EAB.
If you have questions regarding the program please contact Matt Kline, Public Works Director, at email Public Works or 6510-275-4410. For specific tree and/or treatment questions, please proceed to the website.
